Explore the lush vegetation of Buxton Woods and the pristine beaches of Hatteras Island by horseback! Hatteras Island horseback riding tours are 2 hours long and lead by an experienced rider and tour guide.
Unlike many other Outer Banks adventures, horseback riding tours are available year-round!
Riders will spend approximately 45 minutes wandering through the North Carolina Coastal Reserve and the Maritime Forest out to the beach. Then you’ll ride along the beach for about 30 minutes at your own pace. The tour will stop on the beach for a quick photo opportunity for riders, so be sure to bring along your camera! After the photo session, you’ll spend the remainder of the tour (about 45 minutes) traveling back through the woods to the barn.
It’s common for participants to see a variety of wildlife depending on the weather and time of year. Hatteras Island beach horseback riding tours are truly a once in a lifetime experience that you’ll never forget!
